This is a quick post in order to say: WHAT THE HELL, SARAH PALIN. (Perhaps we will get a billion hits because I said her name?) Anyway, everyone feel free to disregard this because I Don’t Really Know What I Am Talking About. I guess some could argue that since I am on the other side of the world, the US election shouldn’t bother me but I guess it KIND OF DOES.

I am truly concerned that Sarah Palin could potentially become one of the most powerful people in the world. Apparently (I may be pulling this from my arse) statistics show McCain will most likely die during his term? Apparently. I have heard this. Which would mean, SHE WOULD BE THE PERSON WITH CODES AND SHIT TO NUCLEAR WEAPONS. She’d be all like “Shit, man! Blow up them fucken polar bears!”, in her Alaskan accent. But for real, this is someone who believes you can convert gay people with PRAYER? What the fuck. And she made Alaskan RAPE victims pay for their own rape kits (as mayor of Wasilla, I believe…). And not only is she opposed to abortion, she’s opposed to abortion in cases of rape (even child rape cases. She truly believes that if a 13 year old girl is raped and gets pregnant, she shouldn’t be able to have an abortion? EVEN IF IT IS INCEST (that was written on a website somewhere.)Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.) Apparently she also tried to get a librarian fired cause she didn’t censor books. That is one more thing! She believes in CENSORING BOOKS. People really want someone who believes in censorship as a potential president? Even as vice-president? And they really want someone who chose her as their VP to be their president? I didn’t have all that much against McCain before, basically I was totally ignorant of his policies, but I think appointing Palin as his VP has really really really damaged his campaign. But then again, there are a lot of fucked up people in the world who appear to support her. I’ve also read that she believes man-made global warming is a “farce” and she’s supported all these crazy measures like aerial hunting of wolves and trying to prevent polar bears from being put on the list of endangered species. AND she supports drilling for oil in wildlife reserves, CRAZY big mines and shit. Basically, I think she is an idiot. She has idiotic policies, and is unbelievably ignorant. She doesn’t know what the fucking Bush Doctrine is?! And she wants to be the fucking VP of the USA? Aaaaaargh. She didn’t even get a passport until last year! LAST YEAR! She has been in the fucking snow in Alaska until then.
You know what, maybe she will be a great VP. A great VP who will make rape victims pay for their rape kits and have babies by their rapists and no gays because she’ll have converted them by prayer and no polar bears or whales of wolves because she’s shot them all and built mines all over the country and is drilling for oil all over the fucking place and all anyone’s allowed to read is the Bible and Martha Stewart’s book on housekeeping or some shit like that. And Creationism is being taught in schools (cause apparently she wants that too). Whatever. That will probably not happen. But considering only 64% of Americans eligible to vote voted in the 2004 election, which was an INCREASE (omg) from 60% in 2000, it just might fucking happen because people are too apathetic.

Just imagine what would have happened if Al Gore had been elected! There would be like ZERO EMISSIONS ANYWHERE. Jeeeeeeez people.

Dear Blog,
I know it has been a while, but I felt I needed some space… some “me” time. I hope you understand. I felt that, in order to find myself, I needed to expand my horizons, not limit myself to one cyber companion… I know what you’re thinking. It meant nothing to me, I swear. I… I’ll come back to you eventually. I just need some space. Some time to find the real me. To discover who I really am, and I can’t do that while I’m with you. I know I didn’t call or write for a long time, and that must have hurt you. I’m sorry, I really am. But why didn’t you ever call me? This relationship has been so one-sided, always me calling, always me saying “Hey, Blog! What is up? HOW ARE YOU” You know, Blog, sometimes it would have been nice if you asked me how I was doing. Maybe things would have turned out differently. But I just need some space right now. I promise that one day, I will return, and together we can experience lolcats and all those other joyous things the internet gives us, TOGETHER.

Ohhhh MAN, this looks great: a USB hub that you plug into your AC adaptor (cigarette lighter, right?), so you can charge your ipod/iphone/whatever while you’re driving! Sounds like a brilliant idea to me, and the best thing is, they’re only $22.99US! Which, by my calculations, is about $28AU… if only I had a car! via Butteryblend.
