So forever ago I mentioned these dudes here, Micachu and the Shapes. To be honest I had kind of forgotten about them a bit… mainly because I never ever ever use myspace anymore and neglected to actually purchase their cd.
Anyhow, upon re-listening I totally take back everything I said about who they sound like, that was basically just that one song. In any case, they still sound rad, AND if you are a Perthian like myself, you can catch them at Amps on the 8th of January. Which is a little bit ridiculous because I’m pretty sure that’s on the same night as Cat Power’s Southbound sideshow… Actually, I take that back. Cat Power’s playing at the Astor on the 6th, so there is now no excuse. MAKE YOURSELF PRESENT.

So I only just looked at Sea of Shoes tonight, after it dancing around my periphery for such a long time, and I have to say it is one of the most depressing things I’ve ever seen. Never before have I ever wanted to be rich and talented so much. I wish I had oodles of money so I could go to Paris and me and my mum could buy Balenciaga boots on a whim . Sigh. The blog has also birthed (birthed? I’m at a blank for an adequate word but this one is just so bad!) my new found love for Ann Demeulemeester boots. Holy shit.
Also: I just ate a bowl of rice with satay and it was soooooo gooooooooood.
Also: I have been eating a lot of satay lately, it is sooooo goooood.
Also also also: The craziest thing happened today, I was flossing my teeth and then I noticed this weird thing at the back of my jaw. Holy shit, it was one of my wisdom teeth! My wisdom teeth came through without me noticing. What the fuck?
Also: I just put my retainer in for the first time in forever, it hurt like a motherbiiiiiitch.

So, my brother is pretty good at mostly everything. It used to be that I was the “social” one and he was just better than me at most other things, but now he is older and everyone thinks he is like the most charming thing ever, and all my friends like him better than me, and I am just loud and obnoxious. Sigh. Anyway, I was totally into photography when I was in year 11 and 12, but then he started doing it, and he is so much better than me it is ridiculous.
