I just watched this super interesting lecture by Johanna Blakley at USC entitled “Intellectual Property in the Fashion Industry”.
You can find it over here!
She talks about the lack of copyright protection in many creative industries and how that can be not just a bad thing, as you might initially think, but can also really encourage (and even force) greater innovation, as well as how the lack of protection affects trends and how it filters down to us, the average consumer.
